Woman Catches Something Unusual Happening Over The City Of Boston On The Museum Of Science’s Livestream: ‘What Is That?’

A woman caught something bizarre on the Boston Museum of Science’s livestream. Now, she says they’re trying to cover it up.

The internet is filled with a lot of strange experiences captured on video. For example, one Uber driver dropped a customer off at a barbershop, only for the man to seemingly disappear. Another internet user showed how something unknown appeared to be trying to open a door in her basement.

Sometimes, a long time spent looking at these videos can lead to a reasonable explanation. Other times, however, even the biggest skeptic is left scratching their head about what exactly happened.

Now, TikTok user Jenelle (@Jenellemarie0212) says she spotted something possibly extraterrestrial on a livestream—and the people who posted it are now trying to hide it.

What Happened On This Livestream?

In a video with over 722,000 views, Jenelle explains that she has a family member who worked at the Prudential Center in Boston.

On June 8, 2022, Janelle says her family member was watching the Boston Museum of Science’s livestream of the city when something strange happened.

As Janelle shows in her video, two black masses suddenly flew off the buildings. They then fly aimlessly for a brief period before disappearing.

“What is that? Just kind of flying around there!” Jenelle exclaims.

To add to the confusion and suspicion, Jenelle says that her family member later attempted to see what happened once more. To his surprise, he couldn’t.

“When he went back to try to replay it to show one of his co-workers, the Museum of Science had actually deleted that part off of their live stream,” Jenelle claims. “So, I don’t think it was something that we were supposed to see.”

“Is this extraterrestrial?” she asks. “Is this a government [experiment]?”

In the caption, Janelle adds the hashtags “#extraterrestrial #governmentsecrets #paranormal.”

What Are These Things?

When looking at the video, the objects in question are definitely weird. That said, the video is fairly low-resolution—and even the clearer follow-up video posted by Janelle still leaves a lot to be desired.

So, what are these things? And why did the Boston Museum of Science delete the video?

Concerning the latter, as this stream is from 2022, the original clip is difficult to locate. As such, it’s hard to confirm whether this actually happened, and if it did, whether it was done maliciously, to save data, or was simply the result of a glitch.

However, if one is looking for an explanation for what these things are, they don’t have to think supernaturally. Instead, the true answer for what likely happened here was, simply put, “birds.”

An Explanation For The Dark Cloud

What Jenelle is likely seeing here are two flocks of starlings. Starlings are known to gather into dense flocks. These flocks can move and form interesting shapes—shapes that, in the eyes of a low-framerate webcam at night, can appear to be a singular black cloud.

If you’ve never seen a starling “murmuration,” as this movement is called, it can be pretty jarring and difficult to explain. As videos of murmurations show, the birds fly into solid shapes that can disappear and reform at a moment’s notice.

If you’re wondering how these birds manage to do this, scientists don’t really know. It’s just one of those random, incredible things about nature. That said, we are pretty darn certain that it’s not “#extraterrestrial.”

Commenters Are Divided

In the comments section, some users affirmed the theory that it was starlings.

“Looks like a Starling murmuration to me. The time of day fits, too,” a user wrote.

“Starlings, they are back in Massachusetts everywhere,” another echoed.

That said, others said they had seen similar apparitions in the past.

“Absolutely not starling! Saw the same in New Jersey flew over my car-extremely eerie. Something has been loosed!” said a commenter.

“Similar was seen on video from astroworld in the crowd. I had forgotten this until now,” alleged a second.
