Brittany Mahomes has drawn a lot of criticism throughout the years, but she silenced the people who mocked her relationship with Taylor Swift on Thursday night. They shared the spotlight all night.
From an outsider’s perspective, Mahomes seems to be someone who wants the focus to be all about her and only her. That may or may not be true, but it often comes across that way.
Thus, when Swift first attended one of Travis Kelce’s games, there were a lot of jokes about the lengths to which Mahomes might go to try and reclaim the attention. However, the two apparently hit it off and later attended “girls night out” together in NYC.
Shortly thereafter, Mahomes did not appear to enjoy her chicken tenders at the game. Another out-of-context clip then went viral and seemingly showed her get bodied by Swift.
People were quick to jump all over Mahomes. Haters said that Swift didn’t like her.
That simply is not true. Publicly, at least.
Mahomes and Swift were all over each other during the Chiefs’ win over the Bears. Especially after Kelce made a big catch during the first half.
Although it is easy to be all buddy-buddy after a touchdown pass from husband (Patrick Mahomes) to boyfriend (Travis Kelce), the pair of significant others continued to vibe throughout the night. A video that has since gone viral across social media shows the two of them dancing together with smiles on their faces without a care in the world.
Mahomes and Swift spent most of the night together. Is it possible that they saw the clips going viral on social media two weeks ago and made a conscious effort to disprove the negative narratives? Yes.
Either way, the people who were so quick to point and laugh at a 30-second clip of Swift walking past Mahomes are on the wrong side of the conversation come Thursday night. Sorry, haters.
