While it’s likely difficult for most of us to relate to Chris Evans’ looks, his personality seems pretty familiar, at least based on a recent profile interview

Speaking to GQ Magazine ahead of the release of his new movie Pain Hustlers, which will be hitting Netflix on October 27, Evans revealed that he hopes to enter his Seth Rogen era in the coming years by acting less and smoking more weed, while also diving into pottery.

“I like autonomous things. I’d like to just smoke a joint, put on some music, and like, get into pottery. You know what I mean? Seth Rogen, what he’s doing. It’s good for you, man. You just go to your workshop and make something. And how satisfying, how simple, how quotidian,” Evans said.

With the way his career has been going post-Marvel Cinematic Universe, maybe it actually is a good time for Evans to pick up a new hobby.

His latest film, Pain Hustlers — which also stars Emily Blunt — is getting absolutely ravaged by critics, as it has a 15% Rotten Tomatoes score after 20 reviews.

Prior to that, Evans starred in Ghosted alongside Ana de Armas, which is among the worst movies of the year. His duo of blockbuster projects back in 2022, The Gray Man and Pixar’s Lightyear, didn’t fare all that better, either.

While addressing rumors that he could return to the MCU as Captain America, the 42-year-old Evans also indicated that he hopes to ramp down his acting in the coming years.

“And I wouldn’t want the black eye if it felt like a cash grab or if it didn’t live up to expectations or if it just felt like it wasn’t connected to that original thing. Ultimately, I really hope to just maybe act a little bit less,” Evans said.

“I could just make furniture for nobody and be happy. I don’t want to – I’ve got to frame this the right way. I was going to say, I don’t want to waste too much time in this industry, but that doesn’t really feel… That doesn’t sound correct. I don’t want to occupy too much space in an industry that I’ve already poured 20 years into.”

Later this year, Evans will be starring alongside The Rock in the Prime Video holiday film Red One, which will probably be another less-than-ideal credit on his CV. It’s also widely assumed that he’ll return as Captain America for Avengers: Secret Wars, which is currently scheduled to release in 2027.
