Jada Pinkett Smith recently dropped bombshell during her promo tour for her upcoming memoir, “Worthy.”
While she talked about that her and Will Smith’s secret separation of 7 years, she also shared an interesting tidbit about Chris Rock.
Jada’s been making news with her interviews, and in one chat with People, she casually mentioned that Chris Rock once tried his luck and asked her out. Apparently, this happened during a summer when everyone was gossiping about Jada and Will’s impending divorce.
According to Jada, Chris gave her a ring and said, “Hey, wanna go out?” Jada, though, was like, “What’s going on?” Chris assumed that the Smith’s marriage is on the rocks and he thought he had a shot. But Jada quickly set the record straight, “Nah, Chris, those are just rumors.”
Chris apparently was pretty shocked, and he apologized up and down before calling it quits on that front. “He was appalled.”, Jada said, “And he profusely apologized and that was that.”
Since then, Jada and Chris haven’t been in touch, especially after that memorable Oscars slap incident with Will.
Jada is going all out during her promotional tour, who knows what’s the next nugget she’ll drop.
