With an overabundance of content on the Internet these days, rarely are we scrolling along and suddenly find ourselves fully locked in on a video and completely invested in the win/loss of a total stranger over an utterly inane topic. But that’s what happened with this clip where two guys went to Culver’s, ordered the deep-fried cheese curds which are made with un-aged yellow and white Wisconsin Cheddar cheese, and they bet the over/under on the number of yellow cheese curds.
As a self-styled Culver’s cheese curds aficionado, the first thing that stopped me in my tracks with this video was seeing Culver’s receive its flowers on the Internet. Their cheese curds are top notch and they are blowing away the fast food competition even if they cannot commit to using all white Cheddar or all yellow.

It is time to lock in. You might think you have a sense of how this is going to play out but you don’t. That is what make this Culver’s cheese curds over/under bet from the bros at @handshakebets so magical. A friend said to me “this was more enthralling than any Thursday Night Football game this season and he’s not wrong.
Some people are saying this is the greatest line ever set. I’m not saying it but some people are. Perhaps the funniest detail from the ‘Handshake Bet’ though is when he busts out a crispy $2 bill, hopefully straight from a birthday car, and honestly that is a fantastic reminder to go order a book of $2 bills from the bank before the holidays this year.
If you are unfamiliar with these guys, they are three friends (Chicago, IU ’21 grads) who will “bet on anything” according to them. Their videos have grown immensely popular in recent years they stay true to the mission of betting on anything and everything.
One of my favorite examples of how enthralling ‘betting on anything’ can be as a concept is this clip where they bet the over/under on the number of blue gummies in a bag of Sour Patch Kids. Some would argue this is the greatest line of all time. It’s either this or Culver’s yellow cheese curds. Do we really need to choose a winner here though? Check it out:
