Over the years, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has repeatedly had his culinary tastes called into question thanks to some of the very suspect food combinations that have earned his seal of approval—none of which are more revolting than the banana and mayo sandwich he proudly endorsed back in 2016.
With that said, he can shotgun a beer with the best of them, and while he may not play an instrumental role in curating the selection of adult beverages that are offered at his restaurant located inside the airport in Charlotte, it still features one of the best whiskey lists I’ve encountered while grabbing a drink (or three) during a layover.
As a result, I can’t help but be somewhat intrigued by his newest venture, as the retired NASCAR driver recently revealed he and his wife Amy have teamed up with Tennessee’s Sugarlands Distilling Co. to create High Rock, a new vodka that’s slated to make its grand debut in Florida in February before popping up on shelves around the United States in the spring.

The corn-based vodka is distilled seven times over the course of its production and triple-filtered through sugar maple charcoal before being bottled at 88-proof—a number that serves as a nice little tribute to the one that was emblazoned on his car for the majority of his stellar racing career.
