A Delta passenger has gone viral for showing how the airline still ran flights despite JetBlue cancelling due to the weather.
When you think of airlines, the Big Three are usually Delta, United, and American Airlines. And as this video demonstrates, there’s a reason Delta is among the most prestigious.
There are a lot of factors to consider when you’re trying to work out the best airline, and in Delta’s case, the answer is clear: Not much will stop you from reaching your destination.
The video, which has garnered 191,800 views, shows the view from a window seat on a Delta plane. Through the window, the distinctive Delta wing can be seen gliding through a very foggy sky over the cityscape. On-screen text reads, “Jet Blue canceled, flights landing in Boston, Delta said ‘f— it, we going!'”

Are Delta Pilots The Best?
The TikTok ended up being fairly divisive. “Delta has the most weather tested pilots on earth,” one wrote. “Most are ex-Navy/AirForce.”
“Every time there’s a thunderstorm around South Florida and I drive by the airport, Delta seems to be the only one that is still taking off,” a second remarked.
“Flew out of Boston on Delta this morning, turbulence did turbulence, and our pilots got us above the clouds real quick,” a third said. “A nice flight was had by all.”
A fourth added, “I bet it added some much needed excitement to the pilot’s lives and they have no regrets.”
Meanwhile, other commenters complained about how Delta cancelled their flights.
“Lucky you!” a fifth exclaimed. “My first class Delta flight from Myrtle Beach to Boston was canceled twice! I had to rent a car to drive home to VT… I am at a motel now resting for day 2 of travel tomorrow! Damn Delta.”
And a sixth chimed in with, “Yet Delta canceled my flight out of Boston tonight and I had to rent a car to drive back to NC.”
Are Delta Pilots Former Military Members?
Delta has a long history of supporting veterans. As explained in a 2025 press release, Delta does a lot to help facilitate the hiring of veterans. It is partners with Military MOJO, a non-profit and event focused on hiring ex-force members. Delta also works closely with the likes of military.com and the PaYs Program—a scheme that guarantees veterans a job interview following the completion of their service—in order to help build the “military talent pipeline.”
Nearly 11% of Delta’s employees, which exceeded 80,000, served in the military in some capacity. It is also worth noting that Delta has, in the past, also appeared in lists of the best workplaces for veterans compiled by both Newsweek and Forbes.
So, while Delta is undoubtedly among the most expensive airlines, you’re arguably getting your money’s worth. It’s important to feel safe with your pilot, and knowing that your pilot previously served in the military just adds that extra layer of comfort.
