Drone Captures The Moment A Great White Shark Comes Alarmingly Close To Children Playing In The Water


Shark Week starts today, so what better way to kick off the week-long celebration of Selachimorpha than with a shark video that was in the news over the past few days. A drone captured footage of a great white shark stalking children who were playing at the beach. Children: Bite-sized humans for sharks.

The Rogue Droner YouTube channel captured the moment a 10-foot-long great white shark swam alarmingly close to young kids playing in the water. The scary encounter happened at the popular Tuncurry Beach in Forster, New South Wales.

The video’s description says: “Some say hunting is hard, but for this white shark, it’s child’s prey.” The shark got within feet of the unsuspecting kids, but thankfully the shark decided against having a child for lunch and swam away.

In only the last month, The Rogue Droner YouTube channel has uploaded several close encounters with sharks and surfers and bodyboarders.
