Impact Wrestling Star Takes A Baseball Bat To The Face In Stunt Gone Very Wrong

Impact Wrestling star Eddie Edwards earned his paycheck in the main event that aired last night (but occurred back in January) when he took a Louisville Slugger to the face on a stunt presumably gone awry.

Edwards was taking on Sami Death Machine Callihan, who, by all metrics, seems like a mean man. The former TNA World champ secured the victory but after the match, the oVe tossed a chair into the ring, laid it on his opponent’s chest, and took a wild swing that ricocheted off the chair and drilled Edwards in the eye.

Take a look below, if you feel so inclined.

The version with the sound is not for the faint of heart, as you can clearly hear the smack of the bat against Edwards’ face.

Edwards was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a broken orbital bone and a broken nose.

After the match, Edwards was a champ about the potential life-altering incident.

Upon seeing the incident unfold on television for the first time last night, Edwards tweeted out the following:

Mean guy Sami Callihan could not be less remorseful and I kind of love it.

Wrastler’s gon’ wrastle.
