Eminem’s New Album Expected To Drop This Fall

Last month we got some clues that Eminem was working on a new album. “He let me hear this song and it was funny,” Chainz said. “I heard some things in there where his vernacular was 2 Chainz-y. It was crazy.” The usually reclusive rapper has been active on social media as of late. 2 Chainz stated that he was working on a new Shady project. Then there was the slip of the tongue by Allen Hughes, the director of the HBO docu-series “The Defiant Ones,” which examines the relationship between Dr. Dre and record executive Jimmy Iovine. While giving an interview to Uproxx, Hughes said, “People don’t know this: Dre records every day. Literally, he’s in there recording songs every day. He’s like Picasso in that way. He’s always painting. Right now he’s producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem’s latest album. So Dre’s still real active in music, you know? But I hear what you’re saying. It’s the truth.” Meaning that Eminem’s new album is nearly finished. Now another outlet is saying that Slim Shady’s latest effort is close to dropping.

According to HITS Daily Double, Eminem’s ninth studio LP will be released this fall through Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. Eminem’s last album was 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP. I would expect the rap god’s latest album to be released in the first two weeks of November, that’s when Infinite, Encore, and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 all dropped. Also coming in Q4 are new albums from Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.

We should expect Eminem’s ninth studio album about a year from when he announced on Twitter that he was working on a new album.

As we anxiously await for Em’s new album to drop, you can check out the trailer for the movie “Bodied,” that will take a humorous look at the world of rap battles as well as examine race relations in America that was produced by Eminem.
