Do you believe in ghosts?

Because some firefighters and police officers in in Saltilo’s Nuevo Centro Metropolitano neighborhood in Mexico certainly do now.

That’s because at around 3:30 a.m. this past Saturday, they bore witness to something rather unexplainable.

According to a report by Zocalo, rescue personnel were called to the scene of a drainage well in the middle of the night.

The man who called them there reported that a woman was calling for help from the bottom of the well.

He told police that the woman had told him that her name was Juanita.

Sure enough, when the officers shouted down the well asking her what her name is, she called back “Juanita.”

However, when they shined a light down the well they could not see her.

So they called firefighters to the scene so someone could go down the well and rescue her.

Using special equipment, a firefighter was lowered down into the well to help, but when he reached the bottom there was no one there.

The bizarre story has captivated that area, even appearing on the news.

So how did multiple people hear a woman calling out to them that her name is Juanita from the bottom of an empty well?

According to Roberto Avila, a paranormal investigator, it could be that a woman by that name died in or near the well at some point in the past.

“They told us a few years ago a person died,” he said. “There may be the possibility that this person still does not realize that they no longer belong to this plane of the living and her spirit is still trapped here asking for help.”

Zocalo also reports that there is another theory going around. That the voice is an entity from the lower astral plane calling out to people trying to cause an accident.

Portals are regularly created in these places that are doors to other dimensions,’ Avila explained.

Or maybe it’s just aliens.
