While people will say “age is nothing but a number,” this 61-year-old fitness model proves that age is nothing but a number.

Fitness model Bobbi Parker Hall from Portland, Oregon, hits the gym early and often to get ridiculously ripped. The 61-year-old mother of two says she looks better in her 60s than she ever did in her 30s. But it was one major shift in her workout routine and diet in her 50s that enabled her to get the impressive physique she has at 61.

To get her spectacularly toned body, Bobbi said she started eating more. That sounds counterintuitive, especially when you see Hall’s washboard abs. But the move towards more foods was in relation to her switch in her workout regiment.

Bobbi would do hours upon hours of cardio to lose the weight and keep it off. But her amazing body transformation happened when she started lifting heavier weights at the gym.

“When I figured out my food and started adding more weights than cardio, it all changed for me,” Hall told the Daily Mail. “That was really the key, because even though I was a personal trainer I still fell into the mind trap of believing I needed more cardio to look like I wanted to look.” She made a change and the results started showing.

At 56-years-old, Hall competed in her first national bikini competition and placed 2nd. Not bad for her first event. Bobbi, who is a NASM certified personal trainer and a corrective exercise specialist, said, “I never thought I could wear a bikini; in fact, I hated my body before I did a competition. I would only wear a one-piece.”

Bobbi says that you can control how you build your perfect body by “finding the right combination of weight training, cardio, and your diet.” Hall continued, “The body is responsive, and you can mold and shape it to look how you want.”
