Is that an alligator in your pants or are you just happy to see me? That is probably the question that police had for a Florida woman when they pulled her over in a routine traffic stop and discovered that she was hiding an alligator in her yoga pants.
We take you to Punta Gorda, Florida, because what other state could this story possibly take place? Michael Clemons and Ariel LeQuire were driving at 3:15 AM on Monday when they rolled through a stop sign. A police officer caught the driving infraction and pulled over the pickup truck the couple were driving in.
The officer asked why they were driving around so late and the 22-year-old Clemons said that they were collecting frogs and snakes from underneath a nearby overpass. The cop asked if he could see inside their backpacks for verification and inside LeQuire’s backpack was “41 small turtles” according to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office report.
LeQuire was asked by a deputy if she had “anything else” on her… like a gun or drugs. Then this happened. “Ariel proceeded to pull an alligator out of her yoga pants and placed it into the bed of the truck,” the report states. This might be the greatest form of birth control ever.
We’ve heard of other animals such as pussy cats, beavers, clams, camel toes, mule nose and snappers being in yoga pants, but never alligators. Crocs on your feet, not in your seat. Alligator pants, this woman is doing it wrong.

The officer called in for backup and agents from the Fish and Wildlife Commission arrived at the scene and began their own investigation into the smuggled animals. It turns out that LeQuire was convicted of another crime against nature when she violated a county ordinance of running animals in 2016.
The alligator was said to be about one foot in length, which means that any future boyfriend will feel very inadequate.
