Serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, public speaker, best selling author, king of hustle, omnipresent internet celebrity, and Jets fan Gary Vaynerchuk aka GaryVee spent his 42nd birthday crashing the K-Swiss website and building iPhone-esque lines at sneaker stores.
Gary announced his limited run K-Swiss collab sneakers in mid-October and they debuted with a massive booth at ComplexCon.
Deemed the first signature sneakers for entrepreneurs, K-Swiss dropped the GARYVEE 001 and GARYVEE 002 kicks on November 14th – Gary’s 42nd birthday.
The GARYVEE 001 & 002 arrives nationwide Tuesday! NYC fans can meet @garyvee at @Footaction on 34th from 10am – noon. Come early to grab a wristband! pic.twitter.com/RrNRWrzBsY

Well, as you would imagine, starting at midnight as Monday became Tuesday Vayniacs and sneakerheads alike went HAM trying to snag his kicks.
K-Swiss’ site crashed and failed to fully recover for hours, select shoe stores had lines around the corner, and by early/mid afternoon all mens sizes had sold out and women’s were running low.

UPDATE: Men's Styles are sold out for EU & US. We do still have women's sizes still available on US site – we go up to a Women's 11, which is a men's 9.5. Grab while you can!

And now Vayniacs are taking some of GaryVee’s favorite business advice and slanging the high-demand product on eBay for incredible profits.

The Gen-K Icon Knit GARYVEE001s retailed for $100 and now have gone for as high as $270, while the leather Court Frasco GARYVEE002s retailed for $85 but sold on eBay as high as $260.
As Gary does every day, he vlogged his shoe release and birthday adventures.

Full disclosure, I used to work for Gary’s agency (VaynerMedia) and directly on Gary’s team as his assistant but my honest review of these sneakers…
I think they’re pretty fucking rad. I dig the 002s and see their versatile style appeal but I personally love the 001s.
I really dig the green, black, and white knit design and leather 5 Stripes on the medial side. Their style is subtle and sporty, which I love. They are super dope kicks made even more badass through limited release exclusivity.
I mean, even the bottom of the shoes are badass:
Sadly, unless I’m trying to drop big cash on eBay, it looks like I’m too late to the game for rocking the GV001s. Maybe Gary and K-Swiss will do another collab sometime and my former boss can hook it up.
