Guy Pulls Ultimate Flex By Stopping At A Gas Station, Filling Up His Tank In Middle Of Police Chase

Guy Pulls Into Gas Station To Fill Up In Middle Of Police Chase

NBC Los Angeles

In the city of Los Angeles residents have several sports to choose from on any given night. They’ve got the Laker and Clippers, the Kings, the Rams and Chargers, the Galaxy and Los Angeles FC, the Dodgers and Angels, and they have one of the most fun sports of all to watch: police chases.

These police chases happen so often in L.A. that they really should just have their own cable channel. I guarantee the ratings would be through the roof. In fact, it’s so common that local news stations broadcast these police chases with graphics displaying the GPS location and speed of the car involved in the chase right there on the screen.

One of the great things about them is that you just never know what you’re going to see.

Case in point: on Tuesday the Glendora Police Department were in hot pursuit of a man wanted for theft at a Home Depot.

Nothing terribly unusual about that in Los Angeles.

However, as the guy reached the city of El Monte he had built up such a lead on the pursuing police that he pulled the ultimate power move, stopping at a gas station to fill up his tank.

On top of that, not only did he stop at a gas station to fill up, IN THE MIDDLE OF A POLICE CHASE, he even went inside the station to pay! Probably looking for that cash discount, pointed out the NBC LA reporter.

And that wasn’t even the first time during the chase this guy stopped at a gas station either. He also stopped previously, spoke to a driver in a white truck, and, according to ABC 7 asked the guy for some gas money.

After filling up, the driver headed back out onto the freeway and drove around before eventually pulling into a parking garage.

CBS 21 reports that after more than two hours of following this guy authorities everntually gave up the chase out of concern for public safety.
