Guy Fieri has taken a pretty wild ride through life since winning the second season of The Next Food Network Star all the way back in 2006. In the early 2010s, he found himself being framed as everything that’s wrong with the culinary world before seeing his reputation undergo the dramatic shift that resulted in him becoming one of the most beloved celebrities on the planet.

The best way to sum up the essence of The Mayor of Flavortown is “A Guy Being A Dude Living His Best Life.” In addition to being a more than capable chef, Fieri comes off as an incredibly personable and genuine human being whose passion for cooking and general enthusiasm for life radiates through the screen whenever he’s visiting a joint on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives or doing what he does best on an episode of Guy’s Grocery Games.

While he’s served as the host of a number of different programs over the years, there is one show Fieri has never gotten the chance to helm: Saturday Night Live. However, it appears he’d be very interested in taking his talents to 30 Rock if the opportunity ever presents itself—and he already has one sketch in mind if that ends up being the case.

According to Uproxx, Fieri discussed the possibility of checking off that particular box on a recent episode of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?

During the conversation, he revealed he was inside Studio 8H when Bobby Moynihan made his SNL debut all the way back in 2008 and met the man who’s repeatedly impersonated him on Weekend Update over the years at a party after the episode.

He made it clear he’s a fan of Moynihan’s impression, and while the comedian left the show in 2017, Fieri said he’d do what he can to lure him back for a bit that harkens back to the time Mark Wahlberg jokingly confronted Andy Samberg:

“I’m still looking forward to it one of these days, I’m gonna go host SNL. And then when I do it, I want Bobby to come by, I want him to do me and then me to critique how he’s doing me.”

Here’s to hoping the folks at SNL give us what we deserve.
