Man Tries Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurant In Las Vegas For The First Time. Then He Issues A Warning: ‘Was So Excited For The Beef Wellington’

If you’re a fan of Gordon Ramsay, you may have heard of his iconic Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. Fans across the globe visit to experience the immersive, upscale dining atmosphere and taste-test its lavish signature plates.

However, one Canadian man believed the Las Vegas location wasn’t worth the hype. He crashed out after every dish.

What Happened At Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurant?

The 18-second clip posted by Virginia (@itsvirginiaho) captures her boyfriend’s “reaction to trying Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen for the first time.”

Throughout the entire meal, he exhibits signs of dissatisfaction. First, he shakes his head and rubs his hands over his face. Then, the camera shifts to him eating off a nearly empty plate with a forkful of Beef Wellington.

“Do not come here,” he warns. After mostly polishing off his Beef Wellington and zesty Key Lime Pie, he finally hit his breaking point.

“I’m on day three, Gordon Ramsay, ” he says exasperatedly, referring to the third day in the show where the chefs’ patience runs thin.

Essentially, it was a disappointing experience.

“I felt so bad, he was so excited for the beef wellington,” Virginia reveals in the caption.

What Is The Beef Wellington?

This British staple dish consists of a medium-rare beef tenderloin wrapped in a flaky puff pastry with chopped mushrooms and Parma ham. Unlike the traditional version, Gordon Ramsay’s is saltier, adding Dijon mustard, prosciutto, and a savory chive crepe, and uses a cast-iron skillet to give the meat its famous color, depth, and flavor, according to MasterClass. Customers can chow down on this meal as an entrée or for lunch, with an elevated variation, the Black Truffle Beef Wellington, available for dinner.

Did Viewers Agree With Their Critique?

Those who have tried the popular Beef Wellington expressed their opinions on it, and it was divisive.

“100% not worth it lol,” one viewer remarked.

“Beef Wellington is very overrated,” another stated.

“I was so [disappointed] when i finally tried the beef wellington , ts is beyond overrated,” a third echoed.

“I went twice because it was delicious,” a fourth commented.

A fifth shared, “I went last December and the beef welly was so [expletive] good. I still think about it. And if he’s stressing about price, you knew what the prices were before you went lmao.”

Moreover, this fiery debate found its way to an r/hellskitchen subreddit. Needless to say, it was as split as Virginia’s comments section. Critics complained that it “was super salty” and “overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor.” However, those who loved it called it “perfect” and “to die for.”

Regardless if you’re a Gordon Ramsay fan, a carnivore, or enjoy trying new things, check out Hell’s Kitchen yourself. Because it’s considered a luxurious restaurant, note that prices will be high.
