Here’s How The Fantastic Four Could Enter The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Despite the fact that Disney is arguably one of the most powerful companies in the world, even they’ve been impacted by our current global situation, as a handful of their movies have been delayed.

One of those movies, Black Widow — which was supposed to be released on May 1 — was set to kick off the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Phase 4.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, the MCU seems to be entering a new era, as some of the old heroes like Iron Man and Captain America are being replaced with hew heroes such as Spider-Man and Captain Marvel.

While movies such as Eternals and Shang-Chi have fans excited or the future, there’s one project that fans are clamoring for information about, and that’s the Fantastic Four.

While nothing official has been announced as of yet, everyone knows it’s simply a matter of when, not if. And according to recent rumors, that “when” could possibly be in Captain Marvel 2.

According to our sources – the same ones who told us Ahsoka Tano will cameo in season 2 of The Mandalorian and that the Guardians will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, both of which are now confirmed – the stinger for Carol Danvers’ second solo outing reportedly takes place in the Quantum Realm, where we’ll get a brief tease of Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben. And yes, we’ll get to see their faces, too, meaning the actors in each role will have been cast by that point.

While we don’t have any further details at the moment, given the cosmic ties between the Fantastic Four and Captain Marvel, it would make sense narratively for them to cross over at some stage, especially with the Quantum Realm set to figure more heavily into the MCU following the events of Avengers: Endgame. [via We Got This Covered]

If and when the Fantastic Four does enter the MCU, it’s seeming like a certainty that it will be John Krasinski in the role of Reed Richards, as the A Quiet Place actor and director has explicitly stated his interest in the role.

With Phase 4 of the MCU is already mapped out, the introduction of Marvel’s original superhero team will likely come when Phase 5 kicks off in 2021.
