Kaylee Baggins (@kleebaggins) has gone viral after sharing the unusual message she found during home renovations.
Home renovations are an opportunity to start afresh. But for one couple, their bathroom makeover quickly took an unexpected turn.
As previously reported by BroBible, some homeowners have come across secret doors and secret treasures before. But Kaylee Baggins’ (@kleebaggins) and her partner’s discovery will make your blood run cold.
In a series of photographs, Baggins shared what she found behind the light fixture in her bathroom. “The saxaphones genuinely got louder during our new house bathroom renovation,” she said via on-screen text.
In one of the photos, which was zoomed into the light fixture, a sinister, handwritten message said, “I killed my sister here in 1981. God help me.”
Baggins revealed in a comment that she “asked/showed [her] friend who is married to a local officer. Her husband showed it to his higher up and they were going to look into it. If there’s anything further I’ll definitely update.”
BroBible reached out to the TikToker via TikTok direct message.
In total, the TikTok amassed 340,400 views.
Any Paranormal Things Happen Yet?
Some commenters loved the drama.
“Oh this is going to blow up someone’s life and I’m so ready,” one wrote.
“Any paranormal things happen yet?” a second asked, alongside a GIF of Michael Jackson eating popcorn.
Others shared similar stunts they pulled.
“I wrote weird s— up in the attic before my childhood home got sold,” a third said. “I mean don’t get me wrong. That place was also haunted, but I just wanted something a little fun for the new people.”
And a fourth revealed, “My dad redid the siding on one of my aunts neighbor’s house. His name was Jeff. My father and uncle wrote “Jeffery Dahmer ate my momma” under the siding.”
Also in the comments, the TikToker shared some further information.
“Our handyman, from the other room yelled ‘Uhh, you guys might wanna move,'” she told a fifth commenter.
“I asked/showed my friend who is married to a local officer,” she added to a sixth. “Her husband showed it to his higher up and they were going to look into it. ”
Another Secret Message During Home Renovations
A similar scenario happened on Reddit. In this Redditor’s case, they stripped a house back to its cladding. However, when they did that, they came across a rather disgruntled handwritten message from a person that apparently dates back to 1987.
“This cover up job was done in the 25th January 1987,” the message reads. “It took me ages to do and much of my blood was spilt in the process. So who do you think you are knocking down a work of art? Do you really need to take my box down? I bet you’re sorry now.”
Given the fact the person posted the message on Reddit, we can assume that they weren’t, in fact, sorry.
Still, other Redditors shared how they left trinkets and other things hidden in their house for future generations to find.
“I opened the wall and found an old Budweiser can in the wall,” one wrote. “So I went and bought some new Budweiser and put a new one with the old one back in the wall.”
“I leave little time capsules, a letter, photos, coins, even a miniature of whisky or a bottle of wine,” a second shared. “(It was an expensive bottle of French Red. Full bodied)”
A third said, “When I moved last we left a note from our family and a little family picture for someone to maybe find one day in the rafters of our crawl space. Not super obvious but not hard to find.”
