‘House of the Dragon’ Fans Unleash Hilarious Memes As The Series Has Its Grossest, Most ‘Thrones’-Like Episode Yet

'House of the Dragon' Episode 4 Reactions: Best Memes and Jokes

HBO

One of the great joys of television shows as massive as House of the Dragon is that with everyone watching at the same time, that means everyone is cracking jokes at the same time, too.

Warning: this article will contain spoilers for the first four episodes of HBO’s House of the Dragon

After three episodes of laying the groundwork for the series, this weekend’s House of the Dragon was the most reminiscent of Game of Thrones’ heyday, as it was an hour of television that was filled with tense conversations, secret plotting, ruthless backstabbing, and, unfortunately, disgusting incest, which was an infamous staple of Thrones from its very first episode.

Given that House of the Dragon is one of the few “appointment TV” shows left on television, fans of the series immediately hopped on Twitter to share hilarious memes about the episode, which saw Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen nearly have sex with her uncle Daemon before ultimately sleeping with her personal guard Ser Criston Cole.

Obviously, Rhaenyra’s wild Westerosi night out is going to make an already-politically-complicated succession situation even tenser.

The fifth episode of House of the Dragon‘s 10-episode first season will hit HBO on Sunday. The series, which has already been renewed for season two, will conclude season one on Sunday, October 23.
