After recently divorcing his wife Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage, reports indicate that Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor Hugh Jackman is going to write a tell-all memoir.

According to a report from US Weekly, Jackman is in the “early stages” of writing a memoir that will apparently see the 54-year-old be “honest with himself” and reveal some “big bombshell.”

“Hugh is currently working on a memoir. He is in the early stages of writing it,” a source told US Weekly. “Hugh’s choosing to [write this book] now because he’s finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce and this book is the first step.”

Divorce isn’t the only thing Jackman plans to touch on in his book. The insider promises there will be “big bombshells.”

Jackman certainly seems to be enjoying his newly single life, as he was most recently seen at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets game with Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, his two Deadpool 3 buddies, and also the likes of Taylor Swift.

Once the actors’ strike comes to an end — the two sides will reportedly continue negotiations today, Friday, October 6 — Jackman, Reynolds, and Levy will get right back to work on Deadpool 3, which was forced to halt production earlier this summer as a result of the strike.

Deadpool 3, which will be the first R-rated film in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2024, although that release date is now unlikely due to the strike. The film will mark Jackman’s first time playing Wolverine since 2017’s Academy Award-nominated film Logan.

In addition to Deadpool 3, Jackman is also currently attached to the miniseries Faraway Downs and the film Apostle Paul. He’s also rumored to be playing Robert Ames in an adaptation of The Good Spy.
