Either August Alsina has the most vivid imagination of anyone who has ever existed or someone here is lying. But before we get to that, in case you missed it, the 27-year-old singer gave an interview with The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee that was released on Tuesday in which he claims that he had a lengthy affair with Jada Pinkett Smith, and here’s the kicker, it was with the permission of Jada’s husband Will Smith.

Yes, it’s quite the tale.

In his story, Alsina claims he “actually sat down with Will and had a conversation” about starting a romantic relationship with the Bad Boys star’s 48-year-old wife.

Alsina went on to describe, very elaborately, how much in love with her he was, saying, “I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really, deeply loved and have a ton of love for her (Jada). I devoted myself to it. I gave my full self to it.”

There had been rumors of Alsina and Pinkett-Smith having an affair ever since Alsina released the music video for his 2019 song “Nunya” which showed him texting someone named Koren, which is Jada Pinkett-Smith’s middle name, plus there was a gif of Jada used in the fictional conversation.

The lyrics to the song also say, “You’re a little piece of heaven here on Earth, the fortune in my cookie, the vet to my rookie,” which many felt alluded to the age difference between the two.

When asked to comment on Alsina’s story, which he says began in 2015 after being introduced to Jada by her by her son, Jaden, Pinkett-Smith’s reps denied the story and told Page Six that it was “absolutely not true!!!”

Alsina also claimed he vacationed with the Smith family in Hawaii in 2016 and he attended the 2017 BET Awards with her (pictured together below).

When asked if it was “disappointing that she never addressed” their alleged years-long relationship, Alsina replied, “I really can’t even get into the thought of that because I am only responsible for myself, right? I am only responsible for, you know, what I do. When I am repressing and suppressing things and it starts to affect me, I have to address it. I just always stay solid because I never want to be the person to cause confusion.”

I’d say he failed pretty miserably in that last regard.
