Actor and musician Jamie Foxx was spotted in public for the first time following his health scare earlier this year.

The 55-year-old Foxx, who suffered an undisclosed medical emergency that required hospitalization earlier this year, was seen looking happy and healthy while on a boat on the Chicago River on Sunday afternoon.

While this is the first time Foxx has been seen in public, he has yet to make any public comments following his health scare.

Foxx is set to appear in two films in the coming months: the Netflix sci-fi They Cloned Tyrone alongside Teyonah Parris and John Boyega, and the comedy Strays, which sees him voicing a dog alongside the likes of Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Isla Fisher, Randall Park, Josh Gad, Harvey Guillén, Rob Riggle, Brett Gelman, Jamie Demetriou, and Sofía Vergara.

They Cloned Tyrone, in fact, is set to release this week as it’ll be hitting Netflix on Friday, July 14. Here is the official synopsis for They Cloned Tyrone, which is directed by first-timer Juel Taylor, via Netflix:

A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio (Boyega, Foxx and Parris) onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy in this pulpy mystery caper.

In addition to his upcoming roles in both They Cloned Tyrone and Strays, Foxx is also currently attached to various projects such as The Burial, Tin Soldier, Back in Action, and Groove Tails. As for Strays, that’ll hit theaters next month on Friday, August 18.
