A day after releasing her new single “Lipstick Lover” — which was accompanied by an insanely raunchy music video — Janelle Monae has unveiled the cover art for her new album, which is titled “The Age of Pleasure.”

The photo of the cover art was posted to Monae’s Twitter and Instagram accounts, so head over there to check it out.

Monae has been causing quite a stir in recent days with her viral outfits and behavior. At the Met Gala After Party, for example, Monae put on a performance that literally dropped Florence Pugh’s jaw.

Then, earlier this week, Monae began promoting the release of “Lipstick Lover” by sharing a wet t-shirt video on her various social media platforms.

The headlines don’t stop there, though, as Monae’s wild performance of her single “Float” celebrating the release of “Lipstick Lover” also went viral. Just search her name on Twitter and you’ll find the video we’re talking about.

While Monae has been a well-known musical artist for a decade now, her new style is in stark contrast to her old look, which was notable for its use of suits.

In addition to her music career, Monae has also made a name for herself as an actress, as she most recently starred alongside Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr. and more in Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion.

Alongside her performance in Glass Onion, Monae has had roles in films such as Moonlight, Hidden Figures, Welcome to Marwen, UglyDolls, Harriet, Lady and the Tramp, The Glorias, and Antebellum, and television series such as Homecoming and Human Resources.

According to Monae, her new album “The Age of Pleasure” — which is her fourth studio album following 2010’s ArchAndroid, 2013’s The Electric Lady, 2018’s Dirty Computer — will release in the United States on Friday, June 9. She’s also set to star as famed dancer, singer, and actress Josephine Baker in the upcoming TV series De La Resistance.
