Attention all Jason Bourne enthusiasts: You are about to get a TV show spinoff of the massively popular action spy thriller movies. The USA Network has ordered a full season of the Jason Bourne-universe TV series titled Treadstone.
USA ordered a pilot back in April and have now green-lit an entire season of the spy show. The upcoming USA series will focus on the Treadstone program that transforms CIA agents into merciless assassins and wipes their memory.
Production is set to begin in 2019. The show will feature other sleeper agents from the black ops program besides Jason Bourne. Unfortunately, USA didn’t have deep enough pockets to get Matt Damon onboard with their TV show.

Sorry, they won’t be able to afford Jeremy Renner either.

Treadstone will be written and executive produced by Tim Kring, who has been involved with projects such as Chicago Hope, Strange World, Crossing Jordan, Heroes, Heroes Reborn, and Beyond.
The Bourne Identity, based on a series of novels written by Robert Ludlum, first arrived at the big screen in 2002 and it was an instant success, earning $214 million at the worldwide box office. That started an entire franchise of Bourne movies including The Bourne Supremacy (2004), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), The Bourne Legacy (2012), and Jason Bourne (2016). The franchise has made $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office.
