Ken Jennings who? A Jeopardy! contestant is making the TV game show look like child’s play this week. James Holzhauer, a professional sports bettor from Las Vegas, is absolutely obliterating the competition and records for Jeopardy!

On Tuesday night, Holzhauer demolished the previous single-day record for most money won by a contestant by over $33,000. Holzhauer brought home a whopping $110,914 in one day of play. This destroys the previous record held by Roger Craig, who won $77,000 on September 19, 2010. “I said all along that I wanted to break Roger Craig’s one-game record and I did it,” Holzhauer said, according to a release.

This is no one-day fluke either. Holzhauer has made $244,365 during his 4-day run, which is also a record. Physics Terms was the Final Jeopardy category, and James wagered $38,314 to smash the record when he correctly answered “quantum leap.” He even wished “Booger” happy birthday in his Final Jeopardy question because he was so confident in his response.

In fact, the recent three-day champion could have easily broken the record earlier this week. Holzhauer was so far ahead of the competition that he didn’t need to wager very much to take home the victory.

Holzhauer even knows memes and comic book heroes.

James Holzhauer has been so outstanding that even Alex Trebek asked if it was too soon to make comparisons to Jen Jennings.
