Actress Ruby Rose, of Orange Is the New Black and Batwoman fame, shockingly made numerous troubling accusations against singer Katy Perry on Threads on Sunday. The incident that the 40-year-old Rose refers to allegedly occurred while she was in her 20s.
“Katy Perry sexual [sic] assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s— what she thinks,” Rose wrote on Threads in response to Perry’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance.
In a follow-up Threads post, Ruby Rose continued, writing, “I was only in my early 20s. I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.”
Rose went on to add, “She didn’t kiss me. She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting v—— on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.
“After it I threw up on her, I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn’t a good person.”
Katy Perry responds to Ruby Rose’s troubling allegations
“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,” Perry’s rep said in a statement to Page Six.
“Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named,” the statement continued.
Ruby Rose doubles down on her accusations against Katy Perry
Rose went on to say that Katy Perry “is more than welcome to sue me (she won’t, because it happened, I have photos and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people).”
She also claimed in another post that she planned to go to a police station to see if they could investigate any of her experiences.
“I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try,” she wrote. “I have a long list, it will probably take more out of me than I’m prepared for, but I will come back here to update others on the process, as soon as I am ready.”
Later, she returned to Threads to say she had just visited a police station.
