Former Los Angeles Lakers forward and 2-time NBA champion Lamar Odom hasn’t been married to Khloe Kardashian since 2016. Their split came shortly after Lamar was famously hospitalized after being found unconscious in Nevada and he later sought substance abuse treatment.

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian’s relationship received an insane amount of exposure because virtually the entire thing played out on reality television thanks to E!’s Keeping up With the Kardashians. They got married after just a month of dating and later even received their own spinoff reality series. Khloe Kardashian was already filing for divorce against Lamar Odom when he collapsed in Nevada but withdrew that request only to file again a few months later after he sought treatment.

That’s all to say that these two have some history. So it wouldn’t be THAT CRAZY if he posted a throwback picture of them together as a couple, which is exactly what showed up in a since-deleted post on his Facebook page. The caption read “Missing my best friend #memories for life” with a picture of them hugging.

Lamar Odom explains how the Facebook post about Khloe Kardashian wasn’t real at all

Thousands of people questioned the nature of the since-deleted Facebook post. At the time, Lamar’s account even dug down in the comments and wrote “Didn’t know we not allowed to miss someone regardless if mistakes were made. I’m human just like everyone else but I get it I let people down and I will pay for it forever and that’s okay too.”

Well, Lamar Odom shut down anyone wondering about the post because he says he hasn’t had access to his Facebook account in years. An agent for the former ‘Sixth Man of the Year’ told TMZ he had nothing to do at all with he post, saying it was “an old manager is actually behind the Khloe posts … as well as anything else popping up on his page.”

If you scroll through Lamar Odom’s Facebook page it’s meme after meme. And there are enough posts on there you’d think he was some retired parent with nothing else to do, not a multi-millionaire former athlete who remains in high demand in the business world.

Lamar’s battling to recover his social media accounts

It was reported back in July that Lamar Odom was ‘losing tens of thousands of dollars a day‘ while battling to recover his social media accounts. They’d reportedly been ‘hijacked’ by his former social media team and he was apparently locked out of them.

TMZ reports that Lamar was able to recover the bulk of his social media accounts but Facebook remains out of his control. This is a bit odd considering Meta controls both Facebook and Instagram and he’s such a high-profile celebrity you’d think someone somewhere would be able to expedite the situation but maybe it isn’t high priority for him at the time being.

They’d previously reported he was ‘losing about $8,000 per post’ on his social media channels and Lamar Odom has 1.6 million followers on his Facebook page. A LOT of time has elapsed since that initial report so who knows if that number has since gone up.
