Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert’s now infamous “Beetlejuice” date is having himself a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week.
In addition to making national headlines, Boebert’s date, identified as Quinn Gallagher, owner of Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen, has seen his business get slammed with negative reviews ever since the couple were busted acting up at then getting kicked out of the musical production in Denver.
Then, as if all of that wasn’t bad enough of a first date for Mr. Gallagher, Lauren Boebert very publicly told TMZ that he won’t be getting a second one with her.
“I’m here to provide levity and lift burdens off of people so anytime that they’re carrying mine it’s something that, you know, kind of feel deep inside, but ultimately all future date nights have been canceled and I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date,” said Boebert.
“All in all, you know, it was, it was mostly a lovely time and, you know, I’ve taken responsibility for my actions,” Boebert continued.
“I would love to know how the musical ended and I encourage people to go and see it, but um, yeah, it was a great time back in the district seeing voters.”
As for her date Quinn Gallagher, Boebert said, “He was he’s a wonderful man and it was, um, it was it was a great time to, uh, to go out and have dinner and enjoy part of a show and, uh, yeah, now it’s back to work.”
She then added, “We’ve peacefully parted at this time uh great man great friend and I wish him all the best.”
Yep, best of luck in your future endeavors, bro.
None of this is her fault though, at least according to her estranged husband Jayson Boebert because he cheated on her.
“Lauren, if you are reading this, please know that I am dedicated to doing everything in my power to rebuild the trust that has been shattered. I stand behind you,” he wrote on Facebook. “You are the hardest working person I know, selfless and overflowing with love. I hate the attacks that are coming your way. In part, this is my fault and you don’t deserve this.”
“I am asking for you all to show grace and mercy towards Lauren in this troubling season,” he continued. “She deserves a chance to earn your forgiveness and regain trust. I have broke her down in so many ways, but she will come out stronger as she always does, and so will I.”
