Living on a golf course can lead to all kinds of perks. But as one homeowner recently found out, it can have its downsides, too.
Every golfer knows that it’s common to lose golf balls, but by thwacking their ball on TikTok user Jenna’s (@jennaczmowski) windshield, this golfer may well take the cake for the unluckiest golf shot of all time.
The video, which has garnered 154,100 views, begins with Jenna announcing that she has a PSA.
She explains that she lives in Eastern Washington before launching into her complaint.
“If you were golfing yesterday, and you lost a golf ball sometime between 1:30 and 2:45 specifically, and you were using a TaylorMade … TP5X, just know your golf ball broke my windshield. I’ve lived here for five years, and that’s a first. It’s probably the worst shot I’ve ever seen of all time.”
She then went on to show viewers the damage, which included a significant circular smash on the far left of the windshield.

Most commenters weren’t very sympathetic.
“The golf course giveth beautiful views, and occasionally taketh a windshield,” one quipped. “Foreee lol.”
“Why you being rude?” a second asked. “This is the price you pay for living on a course. All golfers have bad shots once in awhile.”
“I mean I understand but there is a garage behind her,” a third pointed out.

What Are The Pros And Cons Of Living On A Golf Course?
On Reddit, one user asked the internet about the pros and cons of living on a golf course—and the Redditors gave him plenty to work with.
“You should see if you get a complimentary membership to the course if you live on it,” one suggested. “That’s a pretty significant value around here- lots of subdivisions will get lifetime memberships to the course. From a cons perspective, it will run the gauntlet from people disregarding OB posts and walking into your yard to get a ball, to drunk insurance salesmen catcalling your wife.”
A second added, “Our home wasn’t on the course but in the development. It included a social membership so no initiation fee and reasonable monthly dues. We could use everything except the 18 hole course so we could use the top tier practice facility and par 3 course. My son was 13 at the time and just getting into golf and loved it.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented, “Having a house that backs up to anywhere on the 18th hole means you’ll have noise and activity until after sunset most every day where the weather is decent enough to play golf…”
@jennaczmowski If you live in eastern Washington and you were golfing on 6/13 and between 1:30 and 2:45 pm you sliced a TaylorMade tp5x golf ball and you couldn’t find it, it’s because you annihilated my windshield.
