We have all probably seen unusual mug shots where the person being arrested is wearing a shirt that alludes to their guilt.
For example, a guy in North Carolina was arrested in 2019 for numerous felony drug trafficking charges and in his mug shot he is wearing a shirt that reads, “Thank You For Smoking Pot.”
Then there was the guy who was arrested for marijuana and drug equipment possession back in 2014 who got his mug shot taken wearing a shirt that said “Go Directly to Jail.”
Coincidences, I’m sure.
Then again, last week a man in Kansas was pulled over on Interstate 35 for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
When Franklin County Sheriff’s Department officers asked him to get out of his car, he was wearing a full Bud Light beer can costume.
Of course, there’s a dashcam photo of him in his beer can regalia.
“A career in law enforcement is exciting, and you get to experience something new every day. Sometimes you see things you can’t believe!” the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.
“Yesterday, our deputies were notified of a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Interstate 35. The vehicle was located and eventually pulled over. Deputies were surprised to see that the driver was wearing a beer can costume. Yes, you read that correctly.
“The driver was eventually placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Franklin County Jail. As always, suspects are innocent until proven guilty.”
The man was reportedly placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and later released.
Commenters on the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department’s post about his arrest elicited a slew of jokes from online comedians.
“Is that considered an open container?” someone asked.
“1 can short of a 6 pack,” read another comment.
“Is it really under the influence if he IS the influencer?” another asked.
