MCU fans think Chris Evans' hairline and nose have been edited
Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers in the newest Avengers: Doomsday TV spot, but he looks a little different. Some fans on social media think Marvel gave the Captain America star a little digital touch-up. The newest teaser for the film sees Evans with a different hairline and nose than in the previous promotional spots.
The spot shows Steve Rogers, the former Captain America, aboard the Fantastic Four’s spaceship, where he reunites with Thor and calls his mystical hammer Mjolnir to his hand — just like he did in the climax of Avengers: Endgame. Compared to the first time the shot was shown in an earlier teaser, however, Chris Evans’ hairline and nose appear to look slightly different.
Evans’ return — marking his first appearance in the MCU as Steve Rogers since Avengers: Endgame in 2019 — was revealed in a teaser trailer in December 2025.
Fans think Marvel used VFX on Chris Evans’ nose and hairline in the new Avengers: Doomsday spot to make him look younger

“Post-production nose job and hair transplant is f—— crazy bro, Hollywood is a disease,” one viral response to the realization read.
There is precedent for that kind of work at Marvel, as The Hollywood Reporter previously detailed how VFX studio MARZ used its AI tool Vanity AI on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for quick cosmetic fixes, including a wig fix for Kathryn Newton, on up to five shots a day. It has not been confirmed whether that same technology has been used in Avengers: Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, will be released in movie theaters December 18 — notably the same day as Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three, leading to a “Barbenheimer” like event being called “Dunesday.”
In addition to Chris Evans as Captain America, Avengers: Doomsday also stars Robert Downey Jr. — making his debut in the franchise as Doctor Doom after playing Iron Man for a decade — Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Sebastian Stan, and many more.
