Only someone with the stature of Matt Damon could say that he got the chance to kiss Scarlett Johansson and he didn’t enjoy it.
Recently, during a segment with Oppenheimer co-star Emily Blunt on Agree To Disagree, Damon explained why kissing Scarlett Johansson was, as he put it, “hell.”
The first question Damon and Blunt were asked was “Should you tell someone if they have bad breath?”
Both of them strongly agreed.
“I had to kiss Scarlett, had to kiss Scarlett Johansson once,” Damon shared with Blunt. “Can you imagine how horrible that was for me?”
“Can you imagine how awful that was?” Blunt replied sarcastically, echoing the reactions of Scarlett Johansson fans everywhere. “It’s such a shame. She has such terrible lips and everything. It must have been so awful.”
“It was hell,” Damon responded.
“What happened was, we did a shot before lunch and it was this nice little two-shot that ended in the kiss. And it was really good.
“And we went to lunch and she and I both thought it was over. She ate like an onion sandwich for lunch.”
“Good for her, good for you, Scarlett,” Blunt interjected.
“She came in, and Cameron Crowe had set the camera up, and it was like a tight shot of the kiss. She goes, ‘Oh s***! I literally just had an onion sandwich!”
“But were you still sort of slightly aroused getting to do that with her or not?” Blunt then asked.
“No, I was making fun of her the entire time about her onion breath,” he answered, “which I didn’t even smell. Her breath smells like roses.”
Perhaps something like onion breath is why Margot Robbie, despite all of her friends urging her to, did not kiss Ryan Gosling at any point during the shooting of Barbie?
