Must be nice to be Ryan Gosling: he’s got a woman like Margot Robbie, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful (famous) women in the world, publicly talking about how kissing him would be a bucket list item.

Speaking to People Magazine ahead of the release of Barbie — which racked up a massive $164 million at the domestic box office over the weekend — Robbie said her friends couldn’t believe that the film, which she produced, didn’t include a scene of Barbie and Gosling’s Ken kissing.

“All of my girlfriends were like, ‘Well you did a whole movie with him and you don’t kiss? What’s wrong with you? I thought you were kind of in charge on this one!’”

She adds, “I was like, ‘I know, I can’t check that one off [my list]’.”

Robbie basically agreed with her friends, saying that she wasn’t happy that their two characters didn’t kiss and that it “didn’t feel like a win for” her not to do so.

In addition to the Oscar-nominated duo of Robbie and Gosling in the lead roles, the wildly successful Barbie movie — directed by Lady Bird and Little Women filmmaker Greta Gerwig — also stars Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Kingley Ben-Air, Dua Lipa, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, Rhea Perlman, John Cena, Michael Cera, Helen Mirren, and more.

Prior to the release of Barbie, it was reported that Robbie and Gosling were set to co-star in an upcoming reboot of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise in a 1960s Europe-set prequel. Given the massive success of Barbie, it feels like that project will be fast-tracked whenever the writers’ and actors’ strikes come to an end.

Barbie is currently playing in movie theaters across the United States. You can check out an official trailer for the film below.
