Matthew Perry passed away at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday at the young age of 54. His most recent posts on Instagram are ominous and perturbing.

Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on ‘Friends,’ was a big part of what made the show a success. He portrayed the iconic character for 10 years.

According to TMZ, Perry spent his Saturday morning playing two hours of pickleball. Not long after getting back to his home, he reportedly sent his assistant to run an errand.

When the assistant returned home, she found Perry unresponsive and called 9-1-1. He died from an apparent drowning and the police did not suspect foul play. No drugs were found on the scene.

An investigation into Perry’s death is underway.

Matthew Perry’s recent Instagram posts are cryptic.

Prior to his sudden and tragic death, Perry had recently returned to Instagram for the first time in six months. He posted about his appearance at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 17, and did not post again until October 11 with a complaint about the noise of leaf-blowers.

Perry posted eight times since.

Four days after his return to Instagram, he posted a photo with his father.

And then there were three-straight posts about Batman on Oct. 17, 19 and 22.

He began to refer to himself as “Mattman.”

Perry took a break from Batman on Oct. 23 to share what he had eaten that day, but still referred to himself as Mattman. It appeared to be just three cranberries.

Later that night, the Batman content returned. He asked his followers if they “knew what he meant.”

Shortly thereafter, Perry — as Mattman — asked his followers if they understood what he was trying to tell them.

Perry’s final post was an image of himself sitting in the hot tub. He asked a rhetorical question about whether “warm water swirling around makes you feel good” and reiterated that he is Mattman.

Perry did not post in the five days leading up to his death.
