Michael Bay announced that he’s producing a live-action Dora the Explorer movie. Michael Bay is a director who is best known for films like Transformers, The Rock, Armageddon, and Bad Boys, but he’s a man who can do anything and he’s planning on flexing his creative muscle by producing a live-action film of Dora and Diego…I actually had to look that up, Diego, because I’ve only ever seen clips of Dora the Explorer on other TV shows and I’ve never seen an episode. In fact, I’m not even sure what channel Dora the Explorer was/is on.
After new from THR began to circulate that the producer of Pearl Harbor and director of 5 Transformers films would be producing a live-action Dora the Explorer film the jokes began to file in. Michael Bay is THE GUY who made it popular to blow up a plane or car and have an actor walk away from it in slow motion. He’s all about fire, explosions, and dramatic cut scenes. That’s not exactly the type of filmography that you’d expect to see in a live-action Dora the Explorer film.
Here are the best Internet reactions to the news that Michael Bay is producing a live-action Dora the Explorer film, including College Humor accurately predicting Michael Bay doing this all the way back in 2012.

We live in a world where a Dora the Explorer movie with Michael Bay as its producer is going to be a thing.
This is the darkest timeline.
