On Friday, November 10, the latest film from acclaimed Seven, Fight Club, and The Social Network director David Fincher, The Killer, hit Netflix.

Given that Fincher is one of the last remaining “brand name” directors, and the fact that the film is a clear return to his sadistic roots with Michael Fassbender starring as a merciless contract killer, the movie immediately rocketed to the top of Netflix’s streaming charts.

Without spoiling too much, the film follows Fassbender’s nameless killer as he deals with the fallout of a hit gone wrong. That botched assassination takes place in the film’s first chapter, which is set in France and sees The Killer stalk a swanky Paris apartment as he awaits the arrival of his target.

Once his target does finally show up, however, he’s joined by a leather-clad woman played by Monique Ganderton, who shared some awesome behind-the-scenes photos of herself and David Fincher thanks to the actors’ strike coming to an end last week, thus allowing her to promote her role in the acclaimed film.

In the caption to her post, Ganderton gushed about working with Fincher while also noting his infamous penchant for requiring dozens of takes.

“This Guy. Things that are true about David Fincher. He is scary. He is funny. His brain is amazing. I wanted to beat him with my crop after the 20th take 🤣🤣🤣 It was such an honor working with David and his amazing producer partner Cean. Dream team and Absolutely a filmmaking bucket list experience,” Ganderton wrote on Instagram.

In addition to being an actress, the 43-year-old Ganderton is actually a Canadian stunt performer who has previously worked on projects such as Smallville, I, Robot, X-Men: The Last Stand, Watchmen, Tron: Legacy, The Cabin in the Woods, Suicide Squad, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and more.

Alongside Fassbender in the titular role and Ganderton as the leather-clad woman, The Killer also stars Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Kerry O’Malley, Sala Baker, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton.
