The upcoming untitled Star Wars Han Solo movie has wrapped up production and Ron Howard was excited to announce the exciting news. The spinoff’s director posted a video on his Twitter for the announcement and also revealed the name of the new Star Wars flick. The title of the new Lucasfilm movie will be Solo: A Star Wars Story. The title is definitely simple and to the point.
Solo: A Star Wars Story follows in the path of 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story of being standalone movies that are separate than the beloved trilogies in the Skywalker saga. Ron Howard took over the directing duties for the Han Solo move in June after previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were dismissed five months into the movie’s production by Lucasfilm for “creative differences.”
Solo: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters on May 25th, 2018.
