There have been more than 1,100 reported sightings of the Loch Ness Monster since 1933.
The mysterious creature has been caught on camera by boaters, passersby, and people watching on webcams. The witnesses have been adults, kids, locals and tourists.
Yet, no one, despite numerous efforts over the years, has been able to definitively confirm nor deny the existence of the legendary cryptid.
The latest Loch Ness Monster sighting to cause a stir was observed by tourist John Payne, 55, from Newport in Wales as he was looking over the water from his hotel window.
“I was looking out at the scenery from the window and this huge thing just appeared out of nowhere,” Payne told the Daily Record.
“I tried to get a picture but it was gone and then it popped up again further down the loch. I took another picture and then zoomed in on my camera in and waited to see if it would appear again and it did.
“It must have been something very large because we were about a mile away from the loch and I could see it clearly. You wouldn’t have been able to see a bird or anything from that far away – it had to be something large. It was like a huge neck.
“At first I thought it was a giant fin, but I know there are no dolphin or porpoises in the loch so I was thinking, ‘what the hell is this thing?’
“It wasn’t like it was tied to anything, like a buoy, because it kept moving further away.”
Payne added that after taking the photos he showed them to some people at the hotel and they were shocked.
“I went down to the loch later that day but I couldn’t see anything,” he said.

Interestingly, mysterious creatures that are said to appear strikingly similar to the Loch Ness Monster have been popping up in places other countries.
Police in Atizapan de Zaragoza, Mexico recently investigated a Loch Ness-type lake monster believed to be living in a reservoir near a large dam.
Another mysterious “serpent-like creature” recently caught on video swimming in a lagoon at New Orleans City Park.
Meanwhile, another sighting reportedly took place in the Bristol Channel near Clevedon – far away from the Scottish Highlands.
Back in May of 2020, NASA found evidence of a parallel universe where time goes backwards and the rules of physics are the opposite. Numerous people believe that may the answer as to why no solid evidence of creatures like the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot has ever been able to be recovered.
