A new official trailer for season one of Loki, which will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, June 11, has been released, revealing another look at what promises to be one of the most unique entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date.

Loki looks set to have an impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe far beyond the scope of its own story, as rumors have long indicated that Jonathan Majors’ time-traveling Kang the Conqueror, one of the next “big bads” in the MCU, will debut in the series.

With the release of Loki, the God of Mischief is now one of the longest-tenured characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe having first made his debut in 2011’s Thor. In years since, Tom Hiddleston’s fan-favorite anti-hero has appeared in The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Loki, which also stars Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Richard E. Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane, and Sophia Di Martino, will hit Disney+ on June 11.  It will be the third Marvel Cinematic Universe series on Disney+ following WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. However, unlike WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, a second season of the series seems likely, as it was reported earlier this year that season two of Loki was already in development.

Following the release of Loki, Disney+ will still see the release of a handful of MCU projects in 2021: on July 9, the long-awaited Black Widow will hit the streamer, followed by the animated series What If…? releasing sometime this summer, with Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel dropping later this year.
