It is only August, but the News Interview of the Year has already happened. A viral video has captivated the hearts and minds of the nation and it has to do with a tree falling on a student’s car and the news interview with an astute eye-witness.

We take you to Huntington, West Virginia, where a city crew cut down a potentially dangerous tree. Unfortunately, they made the potentially dangerous tree a certifiable dangerous tree.

The tree was cut down by the city employees but did so in a way that it collapsed on a car belonging to a Marshall University student. The car was crushed but all was not lost because humanity received this gift.

Billy Tatum, a local man who witnessed the tree falling on the student’s car, gave an interview to Huntington’s WSAZ news station and it was epic.

“It sounded like a beer can getting flattened,” Tatum told the station. “It just was a crunch.”

“I hate to say it, but it was kind of cool, you know? What guy doesn’t like destruction,” Tatum explained. “That’s why we go to demolition derbies, but hey, the bottom line is that’s that girl’s new car, and she can’t get to school now.”

Billy Tatum is a man who understands life. Sorry David Attenborough, all I want is for Billy Tatum to narrate everything.

The young woman who had her car crushed will get a rental car for her troubles as it will take time to file the insurance claim.
