Gal Gadot (Predictably) Steals The Show In First ‘Red Notice’ Trailer Alongside The Rock And Ryan Reynolds

Late on Wednesday night, Netflix appeared to accidentally release the first trailer for Red Notice, as all of the tweets and whatnot were subsequently pulled down. But because this is the internet, the trailer has survived elsewhere, giving movie fans their first look at the Dwyane Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot starring action-comedy. Look on the bright side, Netflix — the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer also made its way onto the internet sooner than it should have and it worked out quite well for Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures anyway.

Perhaps this may come as a surprise to come of you — maybe you’re still salty about Wonder Woman 1984, to which I’d argue that she was the best part of that movie, too — but Gadot absolutely steals the show in what appears to be a villainous role, which is a nice change of pace from the 36-year-old Israeli actress.

Red Notice, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We’re the Millers, Skyscraper), stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, Ritu Arya, and Chris Diamantopoulos, and will hit Netflix on November 12. According to Seven Bucks Productions’ President of Production Hiram Garcia, it’s “the biggest movie Netflix has ever done” with an estimated budget of $160–200 million.

The film is Netflix’s latest and boldest swing to launch a massive film franchise that can compete with the likes of Disney, Warner Bros., etc., as evidenced by the decision to cast three of the world’s — not just the country, but the world’s — biggest movie stars. They aren’t stopping there, though, as The Russo Brothers are currently hard at work on The Gray Man, another franchise hopeful that stars Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, and many more.
