Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria character Cassie Howard has been mired in a controversial storyline in the third and final season of the hit HBO series, and that showed no signs on slowing down in the recent fourth episode.

The episode, titled “This Little Piggy,” opens with Cassie Howard sucking her own toes while reciting a nursery rhyme for her OF subscribers, which is then followed by a montage of Maddy (Alexa Demie’s character) waking Cassie up every morning to make content: ASMR made by rubbing the mic against her body, personalized small private-part humiliation videos, whispering names into a microphone, and so on. Maddy also mails used underwear to fans and fields a $700 “fart in a jar” request.

The content explosion culminates in a Godzilla-esque sequence (although it’s really more of an homage to the sci-fi classic Attack of the 50 Foot Woman)), that sees Sweeney’s character grow into a giant and stomps through downtown Los Angeles — crushing buildings, pressing against office windows, helicopters attempting to stop her, etc.

According to HBO, the Euphoria production team spent a year building the miniature sets, with Sweeney calling it “probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done.”

Given the nature of these scenes, if you’re going to fire them up at work or something, it’d be best to do so with headphones on.

As her popularity spikes, Cassie begins appearing on right-wing podcasts to perpeutate talking points that are popular with those sorts of people, telling hosts “American men are treated like second-class citizens” and suggesting that a man wanting a woman who can cook and clean “might as well be screaming the N-word.”

The most viral moment came when, asked if she’s a Democrat, she looks at the camera and says “I’m not r——-.” The podcasting bit, however, requires a bit more context, as the character was knowingly doing “red pill content” to gain followers who’d subscribe to her OF account.

Euphoria Season 3 will continue airing on HBO on Sunday nights until it concludes on May 31.
