Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce played his fourth game of the 2023 NFL season in Minnesota on Sunday. The 3-1 Chiefs traveled to Minneapolis to face the 1-3 Vikings in a cross-conference matchup that held huge implications for both teams.

Of course, even beyond the on-field action, it was one of the biggest games of the weekend because of the ongoing relationship between Kansas City’s tight end and the international superstar. Swifties and NFL fans alike (whether they like it or not) were on ‘Swelce’ watch.

Swift attended her first game of the season at Arrowhead Stadium during Week 3. She followed it up with an appearance at Sunday Night Football in Week 4 and rolled deep with a star-studded entourage.

Was she going to attend the Week 5 matchup in Minnesota?! Kelce was greeted with two savage billboards that refused to say his name upon arrival in the Twin Cities.

Rumors started to swirl about Swift as early as 10:00 a.m. when her private jet supposedly landed in the Land of 10,000 Lakes after a short flight north from Nashville. CBS cameramen were said to have received an assignment to watch for Swift.

Fans in the stands were hopeful that she would arrive to U.S. Bank Stadium.

Regardless of whether she attended Sunday’s game or not, an old video from her appearance on BBC Radio 1 morning show ‘The Switch’ in 2010 proves that Swift would fit right in amongst the Minnesotans. Her impression of a Minnesota mom was spot-on.

Feeding into the stereotype, she mentioned a mini van and joked about a deer jumping in front of the car. She also talked about snow drifts, picking up Jimmy from soccer and being nagged all day.

Perhaps Taylor Swift will break out her accent whenever she is next in Minnesota. Maybe for the Vikings game?
