AppleTV+ has released the new trailer for the third season of the hit comedy Ted Lasso, which will premiere on the streaming service on March 15.

The series, which has previously won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, features Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, the manager of the fictional English football club AFC Richmond.

In addition to Sudeikis, Ted Lasso stars Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Nick Mohammed, Juno Temple, and more.

While it has yet to be confirmed, rumors have seemed to indicate that the upcoming third season of the hit comedy series will be its last as the creative team begins to pursue other opportunities (Goldstein, for example, has been cast as Hercules in the Marvel Cinematic Universe).

Here is the official synopsis for the upcoming third season of Ted Lasso, courtesy of AppleTV+:

In the third season of Ted Lasso, the newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them to finish last in the Premier League and Nate (Nick Mohammed), now hailed as the “wonder kid,” has gone to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt).

Meanwhile, while Ted (Jason Sudeikis) deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.

In addition to winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, Sudeikis has won the award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy, Hannah Waddingham won Outstanding Supporting Actress, and Brett Goldstein won Outstanding Supporting Actor. The series famously racked up a whopping 20 Emmy nominations following its debut season back in 2020.
