Teens on e-bikes terrorized customers by riding around store aisles inside a California Walmart this week, prompting deputies to be called.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when two teenage boys rode e-bikes through the aisles of a Walmart in Foothill Ranch, nearly hitting customers in the process.

By the time deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene, the boys, approximately 14- or 15-years-old, according to KTLA News, had left the store. In the video of the incident, a customer who appeared to be riding a scooter inside the store chased the two teens as they fled.

One reporting party stayed on the scene but decided not to file charges against the teenagers, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. So far, police have not filed any criminal charges.

61-year-old Vince Vasquez, the witness who was the man on a mobility scooter during the incident, said when he saw that Walmart staff members were powerless to stop the group, he attempted to step in.

“I was yelling at them to get out, and none of the store employees were doing anything, so I tried to follow them around to get them to stop before they hurt someone,” Vasquez told KTLA News.

He also claimed that the e-bike riders came dangerously close to hitting his autistic daughter and wife, as they were traveling at speeds that put shoppers at risk.

“It really startled my daughter, and I yelled at them to stop,” he said, adding, “They were going fast enough that it was dangerous.”

Last month, police arrested two Florida teens after they drove a lawn mower inside a Target store

In an incident similar to the e-bike riders inside a California Walmart, last month, police arrested two Florida teens after a video showed one of them driving a lawn mower inside a busy Target store. In that incident, the mower driver shattered a glass door on their way into the store.

“The last thing you expect to see inside a Target is a lawn mower coming through the door,” shopper Vanessa Scarlett, who recorded video of the stunt with her phone, told WESH News. “He actually drove straight into the door first and shattered it.”

In that case, the incident did not begin at the Target. One of the teenagers allegedly utilized a leaf blower inside a Culver’s the previous evening.

Police arrested both the driver of the lawn mower, the teen who filmed the stunt, and the teen who allegedly used the leaf blower inside the Culver’s.
