Tennessee radio host Mickey Utley filmed what he called an “amazing” UFO sighting from his back porch in Haywood County this week. He described the UFO as “crazy lights all over the place” and said it kept “fading in and out.”
Utley said he was in Haywood County, north of Brownsville, looking to the northwest toward Halls when he spotted the unidentified flying object in the sky.
“It was really quiet and it was really dark, It was like a star or something that was really bright, but it was low on the horizon and it just started fading in and out,” Utley told WBBJ News.
He went and got his wife for confirmation of the UFO sighting
Mickey Utley, wanting more witnesses, retrieved his wife so she could confirm what he was seeing.
“I ran and got my wife because I just didn’t want to be the only one to see it you know, so I got her and she went out there and her jaw hit the ground for like 10 seconds. It was amazing, and so we come back out and they were gone,” Utley said.
Utley marveled at what he called “these crazy lights all over the place” and was astounded to see more orbs appear in the sky as he watched the bewildering scene.
“It was really quiet, and it was really dark, it was like a star or something that was really bright, but it was low on the horizon, and it just started fading in and out,” Utley added.
“There was nothing around in that area” that might explain the strange UFOs, he said after looking for a logical reason that would have explained what he saw. Utley, an amateur drone pilot who also hosts The Suppressed Signal, a paranormal and extraterrestrial-themed talk show, said he has reasons to believe drones can also be ruled out as a possible explanation.
WBBJ News also reports that, according to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), Mickey Utley’s sighting is the sixth UFO reported in the Brownsville area since 2000 and the first since 2023.

“I’m speechless right now,” he wrote. “Quick story. My daddy drove a truck for a living for 30-something years. He would drive all night and he would listen to, and I don’t know if some of y’all are familiar with the show. But he listened to this show all night. And me riding with him sometimes, I couldn’t help but hear it.
“Art Bell was a huge mentor of mine. Same with the man the, George Norry, co-host of Coast to Coast that just covered MY story. I’m speechless. That night was so so so unusual. I can’t and can explain it and I know it don’t make sense. But folks, hate to bust your bubble, but we’re not alone.”
