The Load Out Podcast: Country Rocker Morgan Wade Climbs The Ladder From Floyd To Nashville

Welcome episode two of The Load Out Music Podcast – a music podcast recorded monthly in St. Louis at the Gaslight music venue hosted by yours truly. Last time out I spoke to Mickey Lamantia – a fascinating Rhode Island prison guard by day and outlaw country singer-songwriter by night.

In Episode 2, I am honored to speak with one of my favorite young up-and-coming country rockers from my home state of Virginia – Morgan Wade, whom I wrote about last year for BroBible.

You may not have heard of Morgan, but more than likely you will soon as she’s currently busy in the studio with some of the most talented musicians in Nashville, led by Sadler Vaden of Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, as well as touring the bands like The Steel Woods and Lucero.

Our conversation covered the entirety of her young life and the ups and downs therein – from her battles with alcohol to her upbringing in tiny Floyd, Virginia, to her transition from pre-med student to tattooed rocker building her first band on Craigslist to budding Nashville star.

Once you spend some time listening to the authenticity of her story – the same authenticity you hear in her gravely singing – I’m certain you’ll enjoy her as much as I do.

So settle in and listen-up to Episode 2 of The Load Out music podcast with Morgan Wade. I can promise you, her story will not disappoint.
