Despite saying in a recent profile interview that he thinks he only has another film or two in him, legendary director Martin Scorsese certainly seems as youthful as ever.

In a TikTok video posted by his daughter Francesca, the 80-year-old Scorsese is seen hilariously learning a bevy of modern slang terms such as “sneaky link,” “slept on,” “simp,” and more.

The best part of the video is when Francesca Scorsese uses Marty’s film The King of Comedy as an example of “slept on,” which then sends him spiraling on a tangent about the reviews the film got when it was released 40 years ago. Another highlight is when he learns what the definition of “hits different” is thanks to the description of what it’s like watching a 70mm film.

Scorsese’s latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon, will be hitting movie theaters in just a few short weeks on Friday, October 20.

The film has been receiving rave reviews ever since it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and currently boasts a 97% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Killers of the Flower Moon, based on the David Grann-written non-fiction novel of the same name, tells the story of the mass murders of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation Native American in 1920s Oklahoma and stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role of Ernest Burkhart.

The film marks the sixth collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, who previously worked together on the films The Wolf of Wall Street, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, and Shutter Island.

In addition to DiCaprio, who many are expecting to, once again, be nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards, Killers of the Flower Moon stars Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, John Lithow, Brendan Fraser, Tantoo Cardinal, and more.
