Tom Hanks was promoting his new book Uncommon Type: Some Stories and speaking at the Texas Book Festival in Austin when a guy in the audience asked for his help in proposing. Of course, because he is America’s dad, and does things like crash wedding photos, naturally, he did it.

During the Q&A portion of his session at the book festival, Hanks read a question from a man named Ryan McFarling in the audience.

“Here’s Ryan’s question, and it’s for Nikki Young…”Nikki, will you marry me?” asked Hanks.

He then brought the couple up on stage so McFarling could ask her for himself in front of the huge audience.

Oh yeah, she said yes.

Then they took pictures, because you’re darn right they did.

Did I mention that she is also a HUGE fan of Tom Hanks?

Yeah, there’s no way any of us will ever top this one, guys.
